Lee Kuan Yew’s Visit to Hungary

Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, visited Hungary in 1992 during a broader tour of Central and Eastern Europe. This visit took place during Hungary's transition from a socialist economy to a market economy and had huge significance.

Establishment of Hungarian Embassy in Singapore

The first Ambassador of Hungary to Singapore was Dr. István Horváth. He presented his credentials to Singapore in 1992, marking the formal establishment of Hungary's diplomatic presence in the country.

2007

László Sólyom’s Visit to Singapore
